so simon went to china last year! ..and i never got around to writing about it. haha ill make this as exciting as i can i swear. the picture above is my aunts condo building in hong kong. real estate is craaazy expensive for the small amount of space you get. im talking prison mike amount of square footage for a thousand american a month.

i've uploaded some of these before but mcdonalds in the east is soo cool!! check out the fontastic if you get the chance!

i was gonna upload pictures of the restaurants in china we ate at but i decided i'd rather go with just my favorite. this sushi palce that had an awesome atmosphere complete with one of those sushi rivers that goes around the counter. they also had this wall of clear lockers that had assorted phone chargers in them. you find the one that fits then you lock it up to charge while you take the key. pretty convienent..

my aunt took us to tour the walk of fame. my mom and i got to direct a movie!

we spent one day in china just going around these museums and gardens. that giant goat statue is HUGE. its actually a ton of smaller stones carved out then shoved together like a puzzle. we went into this one place that was once the palace of a king and now all the statues surrounding the place are awaiting his return. until then, its an historical landmark welcome to tourists. the picture in the upper right is actually a grassy hill with wax tourists mounted onto it. no joke. they were crazy. i was taking pictures of them and kicking them but they stayed true to their statue-esqe nature. while my mom was paying for stuff i was looking through the bookmarks and i found these two names right next to each other! i guess it was written in the stars.

hahaha.. the ikea in hong kong was surprisingly exactly like the ikeas in naperville and woodfield. i dunno what i was expecting when i made us go there..

in china we walked the graveyards and paid our respects. its a pretty beautiful place with a crazy amount of land devoted to it.

my family in the east is pretty cool. the middle bottom was pulled outta my aunts albums. thats my broham in the blue about 30 years ago.

public transportation in hong kong is friggin clean. they really go the distance to take of the blind too. while waiting for our ride i walked the whole place blindfolded following the bumpy grey paths. well done!

my aunt brought us to a nearby church sunday morning. the whole thing was in mandarin but im really amazed by how closely i followed along haha.

in hong kong, it seemed like if you could afford a car you could afford to buy a nice one. i didnt take any pictures of the beamers but instead the ones that looked funny. i think thats a honda fit? it was a year ago so it was totally new to me haha. i think the one on the right is a spaceship.

heres a cat that lived at the congee place downstairs of my aunts.

grocery shopping. i think thats a dragon egg in the middle. we didnt buy any ray lams much to my disappointment.

and thats my trip to china folks! the land of oppurtunity as i'm told its called.
